The Canada Council for the Arts distributes annual payments to Canadian authors through the Public Lending Right (PLR) Program as compensation for the free public access to their books in Canadian public libraries.

The PLR Commission provides guidance to the PLR program.


The PLR registration period is closed until February 15, 2015.

 

Registration period: 15 February to 1 May 2015

Registrations received outside of the registration period will NOT be accepted and will be returned to the sender.

The PLR Program communicates with authors once a year - every February. If you registered this year, the next time you will hear from us will be in February 2015.
