Mélanie Dumas (Montréal, QC) has a Master’s in library and information sciences from the Université de Montréal and a Bachelor’s in music performance with honours in clarinet from McGill University. She began working at the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec in 2001. Between 2008 and 2010, she helped to establish the Service québécois de traitement documentaire, and she was appointed head of records management for the Collection universelle. She has been director, access to the Collection universelle of the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec since 2013.
